Who is behind ExchangeRanking

An independent editorial team has been publishing crypto exchange rankings since 2024. Our mission is a clear comparison of costs, security and compliance — without the marketing noise.

Editorial team

The ExchangeRanking team is made up of editors with at least 5 years of experience analyzing the crypto market. We test every exchange with real capital: we open an account, go through KYC, deposit funds, execute spot and futures trades, and then withdraw. We don't publish reviews of platforms we haven't traded on ourselves.

We work with accountants specializing in crypto tax reporting and lawyers tracking regulations such as the EU's MiCA framework, so information about compliance and taxes stays current.

Independence

An exchange's position in the ranking depends solely on its score in our methodology (see our methodology). We don't sell paid placements or ranking positions.

If an exchange loses its license, suffers a loss of funds, or lowers its quality of service, it drops in the ranking or is removed.

Contact the editorial team

Have feedback on an exchange's rating, found an error in the data, or want to suggest a new platform? Reach out via our contact form. We read and respond to every message within 1–3 business days.
